Turkey Oreo Cookies

Recipe by Rebekah Winscott

These turkey Oreo cookies are a fun, no-bake Thanksgiving treat the whole family will love! Made with Oreos, candy corn, and frosting, they’re perfect for kids’ parties, classroom crafts, or adding a playful touch to your holiday dessert table.

  • Total Time20 minutes
  • Yield20 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 Oreo cookies
  • 100 pieces Candy corn
  • 40 candy eyes
  • 20 butterscotch chips
  • 1 container vanilla frosting
  • Red gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Spoon the vanilla frosting into two small bowls, dividing it evenly between each.
  2. Add a generous amount of red gel food coloring to one bowl and stir until fully combined. Leave the second bowl plain.
  3. Transfer the plain vanilla frosting into one piping bag and the red frosting into a second piping bag. Snip a very small opening at the tip of each.
  4. Take one Oreo cookie and gently wedge 5 pieces of candy corn into the top edge to create the turkey feathers. Repeat with all cookies.
  5. Using the plain frosting, pipe two small dots for the eyes and one dot in the center for the beak.
  6. Press 2 candy eyes onto the frosting dots and place 1 butterscotch chip in the center for the beak.
  7. Using the red frosting, pipe a small gobbler underneath or beside the beak.
  8. Allow the frosting to set for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh frosting so the candy sticks easily.
  • If the Oreo filling loosens while inserting candy corn, add extra frosting for support.
  • Store cookies in a single layer for best appearance.
