Strawberry Basil Lemonade

This refreshing strawberry basil lemonade is made with Simply Strawberry Lemonade, fresh strawberries, basil, sugar, and ice for an easy summer drink that’s sweet, fruity, and perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Simply Strawberry Lemonade
  • 5 fresh strawberries, divided
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 fresh basil leaves
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Slice 2 strawberries and place them in a small bowl or glass. Use a fork to gently mash the strawberries until juicy.
  2. Sprinkle the sugar over the mashed strawberries and stir well. Place the strawberries in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to help release their natural juices.
  3. Slice the remaining 2 strawberries and add them to a serving glass along with the chilled sugared strawberries.
  4. Add the basil leaves and gently press them with a spoon or muddler to release some of their flavor.
  5. Fill the glass with ice.
  6. Pour the Simply Strawberry Lemonade over the ice and stir well to combine.
  7. Garnish with the remaining strawberry on the rim of the glass and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the sweetest flavor and brightest color.
  • For a sparkling version, replace part of the lemonade with club soda or sparkling water.Adjust the sugar depending on the sweetness of your strawberries and lemonade.
