  • Total Time15 minutes
  • Yield16 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 oz. green candy melts
  • 1/4 cup green sanding sugar
  • 16 Nutter Butter cookies
  • 16 jumbo red heart sprinkles
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening (optional - to thin candy melts)

Instructions

  1. Line a tray: Place parchment or wax paper on a baking sheet.
  2. Melt the coating: Microwave green candy melts in 20-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if needed.
  3. Dip the cookies: Hold each Nutter Butter by one end and dip into melted candy. Let extra drip off, then set on the tray.
  4. Add sparkle: While coating is still wet, sprinkle lightly with green sanding sugar.
  5. Decorate: Press on one red heart sprinkle and, if using, add candy eyes.
  6. Let set: Chill cookies for 10–15 minutes or until coating is firm.
  7. Draw the grin: Once set, use decorator gel or edible marker to draw the Grinch’s mischievous smile.
  8. Store: Keep in an airtight container at room temp up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months.
