Ingredients
- 12 oz. green candy melts
- 1/4 cup green sanding sugar
- 16 Nutter Butter cookies
- 16 jumbo red heart sprinkles
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening (optional - to thin candy melts)
Instructions
- Line a tray: Place parchment or wax paper on a baking sheet.
- Melt the coating: Microwave green candy melts in 20-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if needed.
- Dip the cookies: Hold each Nutter Butter by one end and dip into melted candy. Let extra drip off, then set on the tray.
- Add sparkle: While coating is still wet, sprinkle lightly with green sanding sugar.
- Decorate: Press on one red heart sprinkle and, if using, add candy eyes.
- Let set: Chill cookies for 10–15 minutes or until coating is firm.
- Draw the grin: Once set, use decorator gel or edible marker to draw the Grinch’s mischievous smile.
- Store: Keep in an airtight container at room temp up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months.
