Description
These Grinch brownies are the ultimate holiday treat — rich, fudgy chocolate topped with bright green buttercream and heart sprinkles. Whether you use a boxed mix or bake from scratch, they’re easy, kid-friendly, and guaranteed to make hearts grow three sizes this Christmas!
Ingredients
- 1 box milk chocolate brownie mix + water, oil, eggs (on box)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- neon green gel food coloring
- 1 tablespoon heart sprinkles
- 2 tablespoons green M&Ms
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the box directions or 350°F (175°C) if baking from scratch. Prepare the batter and pour into a 9×9-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Bake until the center is set and a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Let the brownies cool completely before frosting — this keeps the buttercream from melting.
- Beat softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy. Tint with neon green gel food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
- Spread frosting evenly over cooled brownies. Top with green M&Ms and heart sprinkles. Chill for 15–20 minutes before cutting for cleaner slices.
