Easy Acorn Donut Holes (No Bake)

Recipe by Rebekah Winscott

Make tasty acorn donut holes in just 20 minutes using donut holes, chocolate melting wafers, pretzel sticks, and fall sprinkles. It’s a kid-friendly no-bake recipe that’s perfect for Thanksgiving or cozy autumn days with family.

  • Total Time20 minutes
  • Yield12 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 plain or chocolate donut holes
  • 6 oz Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting wafers
  • 2 Tbsp fall sprinkles
  • 6 pretzel sticks, broken in half (for stems)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate – Place melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on defrost for 2 minutes; stir. Microwave 1 minute more on defrost and stir until smooth.
  2. Dip the donut holes – Hold each donut hole and dip halfway into the melted chocolate. Place on parchment paper.
  3. Add sprinkles – Immediately top with fall-colored sprinkles so they stick before the chocolate sets. Let dry completely.
  4. Add pretzel stems – Insert half a pretzel stick into the top of each donut hole to form the acorn stem.
  5. Serve & enjoy – Arrange on a plate and serve for a fun fall treat that’s as cute as it is tasty!

Notes

  • Old-fashioned cake-style donut holes hold shape best.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days.
  • Avoid refrigeration; moisture can soften pretzels and dull chocolate.
  • Fun variation: use white chocolate and orange sprinkles for Halloween.
