Recipe by Rebekah Winscott

These easy 4th of July strawberries are dipped in smooth white chocolate and decorated with festive sprinkles for a simple, no-bake dessert that’s perfect for summer parties, cookouts, and holiday gatherings.

  • Total Time62 minutes
  • Yield20-25 strawberries 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 20-25 fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate
  • Sprinkles for decoration
  • Blue food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate
Break the white chocolate into pieces and melt it in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well after each interval until smooth and fully melted.
  2. Let the chocolate cool slightly
Allow the melted chocolate to cool just a bit so it stays smooth and easy to dip without being too runny.
  3. Color part of the chocolate (optional)
Set aside a portion of the melted chocolate and mix in blue food coloring made for chocolate, stirring until evenly colored.
  4. Dip the strawberries
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it about two-thirds of the way into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip off.
  5. Add sprinkles for decoration
Let the chocolate set slightly, then dip the bottom portion of each strawberry into sprinkles so they stick neatly.
  6. Let the strawberries set completely
Place the decorated strawberries on parchment paper and allow them to sit until the chocolate is fully set before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent the chocolate from seizing.
  • Use chocolate made for melting if possible, since it gives a smoother and more even coating.
  • Avoid storing overnight, as strawberries release moisture and can affect the texture.
