Soft, thick Crumbl sugar cookies topped with creamy pink almond frosting. This easy copycat recipe gives you bakery-style cookies that stay soft and taste even better the next day.
Ingredients
For the Cookies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
For the Pink Frosting
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Pink food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Add oil, vanilla, egg, and almond flavoring. Mix well, scraping down the bowl.
- Add flour, cream of tartar, salt, and baking powder. Mix until a soft dough forms that holds its shape.
- Divide into 8 portions and shape into thick discs. Place 2–3 inches apart on baking sheets.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until centers are set and tops are no longer glossy. Cookies should stay pale.
- Cool on baking sheets 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
Frosting
- Mix butter and powdered sugar on low until combined.
- Add vanilla, almond flavoring, milk, and pink coloring.
- Mix, then whip on medium speed 1–2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Spread frosting over cooled cookies and swirl gently.
Notes
- Do not overbake—cookies should stay pale and soft in the center
- Shape dough thick to get the classic Crumbl texture
- Chill after frosting for the best bakery-style bite
