4th of July Mocktail

Description

This easy 4th of July mocktail is a bright and refreshing lemonade drink made with fresh lemons, blueberries, and non-alcoholic blue curaçao syrup. It’s simple, festive, and perfect for summer parties.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 to 4 lemons, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup blue curaçao syrup, non-alcoholic
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda or sparkling water
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • lemon slices, for garnish
  • ice

Instructions

  1. In a pitcher filled with ice, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sparkling water or lemon-lime soda, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding a little more sugar or water if needed. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the chilled homemade lemonade and the blue curaçao syrup. Stir well until fully mixed.
  3. Fill individual glasses with ice. Pour the mocktail mixture over the ice until each glass is full.
  4. Top with fresh blueberries and lemon slices. Serve cold.

Notes

  • Roll your lemons on the counter before juicing. You’ll get more juice
  • Use cold ingredients so the drink stays crisp and refreshing
  • If serving a crowd, mix the base first and add soda right before serving
  • Fresh is best here. Bottled juice just won’t give the same flavor
